   MACHU PICCHU HOTELS

We have inspected and stayed in more than 15 hotels in Machu Picchu.
The following hotels were selected based on superior location, value, and customer service.

Pueblo Hotel

Pueblo Hotel / Luxury

A short walk from the train station, hidden in 12 acres of seclusion, the Pueblo Hotel provides a vacation paradise of individual bungalows with stone paths leading you through the gardens and natural fountains. The Pueblo is laid out in the traditional Andean Village style and consists of 85 luxury cottages, a naturalist center, a natural Andean sauna, and an exquisite restaurant that overlooks the Vilcanota river below.

Sanctuary Lodge

Sanctuary Lodge / Luxury

This is the only hotel adjacent to the ruins of Machu Picchu, offering unmatched access to the site for sunrise and sunset. When most visitors depart back down the mountain on the local bus to Machu Picchu's town below, guests in the Sanctuary Lodge are left to explore the ruins during dusk and dawn the next morning. Tampu restaurant offers superb food and excellent views of the surrounding mountains, and the gardens and Jacuzzi provide excellent views of the ruins.

El Mapi

El Mapi / 4-Star

Located right off the square and the major pedestrian street in the town of Machu Picchu, the stylish new El Mapi is in the middle of the action. If spending the afternoon in Machu Picchu town before an early rise to the ruins the next day, El Mapi offers a great base to explore the town and the nearby hot springs (just a short walk up the hill). The impressive hotel bar and cafe will satisfy any gastronomic needs during your stay, and the fantastic beds will ensure a sound sleep.

Andina Luxury Machu Picchu hotel

Andina Luxury / Boutique

Andina Luxury is one of the most conveniently located hotels in Machu Picchu town. It is minutes away from the train station, the bus route up to Machu Picchu, and numerous restaurants and shops. Every room has a large bathroom, a plasma television, and Peruvian artwork. A generous breakfast buffet is served early to allow guests to fill up before their big day up at the ruins.
