ABOUT BUENOS AIRES
First settled in 1536, Buenos Aires was a small and insignificant city until the late 1700s. In 1880 it became Argentina’s capital and a magnet for immigrants, who are to thank for many of Buenos Aires’ most distinctive cultural traits, such as tango. Today, Buenos Aires is a thriving hub with more than 3 million residents and more than 50 districts.
